Come join our team on a new contract supporting the Resilient Missile Warning/Missile Tracking (Resilient MWT) Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) and Ground Management and Integration (GMI) program. The Mission Test Engineer Senior is responsible for technical support of the planning and execution of enterprise and system-level verification, validation and transition activities for national assets, associated ground segments and services, and information processing systems within the enterprise. This position requires an understanding of the intelligence community and customer domain, along with a strong focus on core systems engineering testing processes in support of end-to-end mission objectives.
Job Responsibility:
Supporting interface development, integration, and test activities with vendors and mission partners
Providing technical guidance, troubleshooting, and test tools
Interacting with multiple organizations and contractors to provide technical guidance, troubleshooting, conducting and coordinating meetings, and preparing/supporting recommendation briefings
Verifying and validating the system and ground segment requirements defined in the System Requirements Document (SRD)
Evaluating architecture, requirements, risks and opportunities, and processes to identify testing impacts
Defining testing activities and associated work products (e.g., strategies, plans, Requests for Change (RFC), procedures, checklists, RVTMs, briefings, etc.) for new and modified mission and service capabilities
Leading or supporting the execution of testing activities (e.g. Test events, Transitions, Milestone Readiness Events)
Preparing reports describing the results, risk assessment, discrepancy reporting and lessons learned of those VV&T activities
Supporting Cyber and Integration Test Requirements document for integration and test of systems with the broader enterprise
Leading specific integration and infrastructure test events—coordinating with Government identified stakeholders—to verify functionality, troubleshoot issues, and ensure interoperability across ground management and the space segment
Requirements:
Requires 8 to 10 years with BS/BA or 6 to 8 years with MS/MA or 3 to 5 years with a PhD in a STEM field
Must possess and be able to maintain a secret clearance
Experience writing test strategies and plans, executing tests, analyzing data and summarizing results
Experience in system integration and transition approaches to accommodate End to End engineering and test of systems
Expertise in mission technical capabilities and system performance analysis and assessment
Experience with Mission Planning, Control or Processing functions in support of space and ground architecture
Verification, Validation and Transition experience within overall customer domain
Strong business acumen
ability to relate professionally inside the work environment with the customer and multiple internal and external mission partners
Strong analytical skills and ability to develop and formulate solutions for problems/issues
Strong representational, oral, and written communications skills, including the ability to produce clear, logical, and concise products
Proven organization and interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to interface effectively via written and oral forums with personnel at all levels of government
Nice to have:
Familiarity with the Space Systems Command customer
Experience with VV&T from a development, integration, operations, and systems engineering perspective
Experience with ground and or Satellite Systems
Experience with different System Engineering methods (Agile, DevSecOps, MBSE)
Knowledge/experience working in the Intelligence Community
