We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated, and proactive Mission Systems Engineer to join our high-performing team responsible for the development of an advanced Onboard Training System for a next-generation Trainer Aircraft. Job Responsibility:
System Detailed Design: Functional requirements specification, modeling & prototyping, subsystem specifications, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), technical drawings, and equipment integration
Supplier Technical Steering: Oversight of suppliers within a V-shaped development framework, ensuring adherence to technical requirements and quality standards and project milestones
Verification & Validation (V&V) Activities: Conducting product laboratory validation, supporting aircraft ground and flight testing, and ensuring the full qualification and certification of the system within strict time constraints
Cross-functional Collaboration: Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of all system components, fostering a culture of open communication and proactive problem-solving
Requirements:
Previous experience in the development of Embedded Training Systems or similar complex systems is highly desirable
Appreciated knowledge of the operation of sensors and weapons in combat aircraft, as well as operational training needs
Proficiency in simulation technologies, environments, and protocols (e.g., HLA, DIS)
In-depth knowledge of simulation system architectures and technologies
Experience in the functional specification and validation of simulation models for sensors (e.g., IFF, Combat Radar), effectors, and weapons (Air-to-Air and Air-to-Ground)
In-depth knowledge of mission sensors and subsystems, including Electro-optic, Fire / Combat Radar, Interrogator, and other related technologies
Familiarity with aircraft displays, navigation systems, computing platforms, transponders, and avionics interfaces (e.g., MIL-STD-1553)
Comprehensive understanding of development and integration activities, from requirements capture to verification and validation
Experience in supplier selection, control, and monitoring activities from a technical point of view
Exceptional proactiveness, excellent communication skills, assertiveness, adaptability, and a strong ability to work effectively under pressure
Willingness to travel as needed
Strong verbal and written skills in both Spanish and English
