Job Description

Amentum is seeking Mission Leads for CONUS locations contingent upon award. The role involves typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage personnel, requirements, and coordination of projects
  • Research, create, develop, and deliver professional briefings, multimedia presentations, and written reports
  • Support decision making and special projects on integration issues, including the preparation, production, and coordination of written products and briefings for senior stakeholders
  • Coordinate and support cross-community meetings and working groups, assimilate large volumes of information, and independently produce written reports
  • Assist with drafting expert assessments across operations priorities on behalf of the stakeholder

Requirements

  • MA or MS in Remote Sensing, Cartography, Geography, or related field AND 6 years CURRENT GEOINT Analysis experience
  • BA/BS degree in Remote Sensing, Cartography, Geography, or related field AND at least 10 years of Intelligence Analysis experience to include 8 years of CURRENT GEOINT Analysis experience
  • HS diploma/GED AND Specialized Training with at least 15 years of Intelligence Analysis experience to include 10 years of CURRENT GEOINT Analysis experience
  • Excellent written & oral communication, research, and analytic skills
  • Expert ability to manage personnel, requirements, and coordination of projects
  • Expert capabilities to research, create, develop, and deliver professional briefings, multimedia presentations, and written reports
  • Extensive experience supporting decision making and special projects on integration issues, including the preparation, production, and coordination of written products and briefings for senior stakeholders
  • Experience with assessments, enterprise data integration, governance, and metrics, including the application of metadata management techniques and data modeling and design
  • Expert knowledge of Army structure and defense level intelligence operations: intelligence collection, fusion, analysis, production, and dissemination for intelligence databases and products
  • Experience with tradecraft and publication and ability to coordinate and support cross-community meetings and working groups, assimilate large volumes of information, and independently produce written reports
  • Knowledge and experience with intelligence operations and in assisting with drafting expert assessments across operations priorities on behalf of the stakeholder
  • Specialized training from any intelligence collection and analysis school or certification to include GEOINT Professional Certification (GPC-F, GPC_IA-II, GPC_GA-II, GPC_IS-II)
  • Knowledge and understanding of the National System for GEOINT (NSG)
  • Must possess planning/organizing skills
  • Must be able to work under deadlines

  • Lead the development and integration of mission-level decision-making and behavior sequencing within the MMS, tightly coupling autonomy functions with the Vehicle Management System (VMS), integrating sensor and perception systems to support mission behavior, and enabling execution of complex mission flows across multiple flight phases
  • Define, implement, and validate interfaces between MMS autonomy components, VMS, avionics, sensors, and ground systems
  • Lead development of aircraft-specific autonomy extensions, orchestration logic, and integration software within the MMS required to enable mission-ready operation
  • Drive autonomy-related avionics and sensor integration and system bring-up as required
  • Ensure mission autonomy behavior is reliable, repeatable, and compatible with operational workflows across ground and flight test environments
  • Own autonomy integration testing, validation strategies, and participation in ground and flight test campaigns
  • Identify system-level mission behavior and integration risks early and lead mitigation across software, avionics, sensor, and vehicle interfaces
  • Provide day-to-day technical leadership, mentorship, and feedback to engineers within the Mission Autonomy scope
  • Coordinate closely with the Air Segment, Ground Segment, and Flight Sciences / VMS teams to resolve dependencies, integration challenges, and interface issues
