lead the strategic and operational development of our Trust-wide MIS and associated systems
ensuring that our systems are reliable, efficient and aligned to Trust priorities
enabling schools and central teams to operate effectively and meet statutory requirements with confidence
working both strategically and operationally, leading system development, establishing robust processes, and supporting schools to use systems consistently and effectively
working closely with school-based colleagues and central teams to standardise approaches, improve data quality, and maximise the value of systems such as Bromcom and wider data platforms
managing complex system environments, oversee change and implementation, and provide clear, practical guidance to colleagues
supporting compliance with statutory returns and ensuring that systems underpin accurate, timely reporting
Requirements
A degree-level qualification or equivalent relevant experience (e.g., education systems, data systems & IT)
Significant experience of working with school MIS and related systems, with expert knowledge of platforms such as Bromcom (or equivalent)
A demonstrable track record of improving system effectiveness, data quality and operational processes
The ability to implement Trust-wide system developments and ensure consistent, standardised approaches across multiple schools
Strong understanding of statutory data processes and the role of MIS in supporting compliance (e.g. census, assessment, exams)
The ability to translate technical concepts into clear guidance and support for non-technical colleagues
Experience of managing system implementation, change and continuous improvement
Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across schools and central teams
