Faith Comes By Hearing (FCBH) is dedicated to providing the Word of God in every language so that all people may hear and understand Scripture in their heart language. As a global ministry, FCBH partners with organizations and churches worldwide to record, translate, and distribute audio and visual Scripture. Join our team and help advance Bible access for every person, everywhere. The Ministry Support Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of Oral Bible Translation (OBT) training and quality assurance efforts across the globe. This position supports the OBT team by managing finances, maintaining accurate records and databases, tracking reports, and facilitating clear communication with partners and consultants worldwide. You’ll work alongside mission-driven leaders to strengthen accountability, streamline systems, and support the growth of OBT initiatives that bring God’s Word to every language group.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide administrative support for OBT quality assurance and training initiatives
  • Manage and reconcile finances related to OBT projects, including consultant and training expenses, advances, and payments
  • Maintain and update OBT databases (projects, trainers, consultants, CiTs, wires) and related documents
  • Review, track, and analyze reports from consultants, CiTs, and training events, identifying trends and needs
  • Organize and maintain personnel files and training documentation
  • Support departmental communication and collaboration across FCBH and global partners
  • Assist in budgeting, fund transfers, and accounting processes in coordination with the FCBH Accounting Department
  • Provide accurate data for leadership presentations, projections, and collaborations
  • Research and advise on international financial transfers, shipping, customs, and equipment procurement
  • Support Regional OBT Training Coordinators and ensure proper tracking of ETEN OBT Capacity Building funds
  • Develop working knowledge of Render and Render Launchpad software
  • Maintain OBT data systems for use across FCBH departments
  • Provide field reports for Marketing & Communication and Donor Engagement
  • Help develop organized file management systems
  • Assist with departmental and partner meetings, professional development, and hospitality
  • Present information and updates in meetings when requested
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Missions-minded with a heart for global Scripture access
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel, and ability to learn new software
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and data analysis skills
  • Excellent intercultural communication (written and verbal)
  • Teachable, innovative, and adaptable (including use of AI tools)
  • Strong interpersonal and relational skills

Nice to have:

  • Intercultural or ministry-related experience
  • Background in Bible translation, orality, accounting, or data management
  • Strong presentation skills, able to engage cross-cultural audiences
