Job Description

We are looking for an experienced person with a mining background to join our specialty mining team based in Malaga WA, set your career in Motion! Motion operates across the Asia Pacific—including NZ, Australia, Indonesia, and Singapore—providing industrial products and engineering service to keep the world moving! Our Malaga WA branch specialises in parts and equipment for the mining industry. We are looking for a mechanically minded person with knowledge and experience in power transmission and bearings. Working closely with the Mining Sales and Internal Customer Service Teams, as well as State, Inventory and Product Managers. You'll help manage mining inventory activities while ensuring adherence to procedures and compliance standards.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist in mining sales, inventory analysis and forecasting
  • Take the lead in Mining Project Sales from tender to award and delivery
  • Support stock takes, cycle counts, and inventory audits ensuring statutory compliance
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and help develop training materials
  • Monitor and control costs, minimize waste, and support reporting activities
  • Maintain excellent communication across teams, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment
  • Uphold workplace safety standards and assist with hazard identification and control

Requirements

  • Previous experience in Industrial Mining Sales, Inventory or Account Management
  • A customer-focused mindset, eager to support both internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, confident in engaging with branch staff and management
  • Ability to develop clear reports and original written correspondence
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.
  • Willingness to travel and work away from the office as required
  • You must be either an Australian Citizen or a holder of an Australian Permanent Residency Visa to be eligible to apply for this position

Previous experience with Power transmission or bearings is advantageous but not essential
