Job Description

Our team are currently seeking a highly motivated Mining Engineer to join our Central Pilbara team on an 8D6X roster. You will be primarily responsible for providing support with Production and Drill and Blast departments including reporting, drill and blast and mine plans and schedules. You will ensure these functions are done in a timely, professional and safe manner.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and maintain short-term and daily mine plans to support production targets
  • Mine designs to support daily execution of safe and efficient mining operations
  • Prepare and review drill and blast designs in line with operational and safety requirements
  • Conduct and lead daily production meetings with operations and technical teams
  • Monitor daily mining activities against plan and identify schedule variances
  • Work closely with production, geology, survey, and maintenance teams to coordinate mining activities
  • Provide practical technical support to ensure plans are achievable and executed efficiently
  • Track production performance and recommend improvements to productivity and mining sequence
  • Ensure all planning and design activities comply with site safety standards and statutory requirements
  • Assist with reporting, scheduling, and other operational planning activities as required

Requirements

  • Established relevant Drill and Blast and Mining Planning experience and qualifications within Mining Engineering or similar discipline
  • Software experience in Surpac or a similar software is highly desirable
  • Team-oriented mindset, focused on quality and solutions
  • Adaptable to changing environments with a strong commitment to safety
