Minimum Grade 12 diploma or GED
Minimum of 4 years experience in an Underground Mine Environment
Several years of experience in construction, preferably in mining or heavy industrial construction
Ability to obtain a Blasting certification or license, in accordance with local and national regulations
Knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, and best practices
Proficiency in operating construction equipment and machinery
Strong physical fitness and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks

Job Responsibility

Operate heavy equipment including boom trucks, scissor decks, LHDs, backhoes, and zoom booms
Transport materials such as shotcrete, concrete, and pipe safely and efficiently
Prepare work areas including clearing, grading, leveling, and trenching
Support demolition activities and complete site cleanup
Inspect equipment daily and perform basic maintenance checks
Identify and report mechanical or safety issues
Follow all site safety procedures and regulatory requirements
Read and interpret construction drawings and work plans
Complete work to project specifications and quality standards
Coordinate tasks with supervisors and crew members
