The Mine Technology Engineer acts as a subject matter expert in the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of mining technology systems. This role provides technical leadership and frontline support across wireless communications, fleet management systems, IP network infrastructure, and mining-specific technologies such as wall monitoring and remote firing systems. In addition to managing the performance and integration of these technologies, the engineer supports Mine Technology Technicians to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery across site operations.
Job Responsibility:
Act as the site-level SME across RF communications, fleet systems, networks, and mining-specific technologies
Provide advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and technical resolution for complex system issues
Evaluate, test, and recommend new technology solutions that align with operational goals
Design and manage RF systems including propagation modeling, antenna placement, and interference mitigation
Maintain LTE, Wi-Fi, and mesh networks that support mobile equipment and personnel connectivity
Ensure robust, continuous wireless coverage across operational areas
