We are seeking an Engineer in Training to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team as part of our EIT Program. This is a full-time position working a 14/14 rotation. Kick‑start your mining engineering career with a program designed to build leaders. Step into a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience across the full mining cycle while being mentored by seasoned professionals. As an Engineer in Training (EIT), you will work directly with the Chief Mine Engineer and participate in a structured development journey that immerses you in every facet of underground operations.

Job Responsibility

  • Work directly with the Chief Mine Engineer
  • Rotate through key areas including development, drilling and blasting, mine planning, ventilation, ground control, surveying, backfill, and operational services
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in Geology, Metallurgy, Maintenance, Safety, and Operations
  • Real operational exposure in an active underground environment
  • Structured technical development guided by competency milestones
  • Project ownership that showcases your ideas and adds value to the operation
  • Leadership and supervisory training to prepare you for future roles

Requirements

  • Must be on track to graduate in 2026, or have graduated within the last two years, with a bachelor's degree in mining engineering
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and conflict resolution abilities
  • Exposure to safety-sensitive environments is an asset
  • Highly curious, organized, and results oriented
  • Preference will be given to those with previous co-op or operational experience
  • Willingness to work underground and in a remote camp-based environment
