We are looking for a highly skilled Industrial Millwright to maintain, install, and troubleshoot mechanical systems within our state-of-the-art distribution and logistics facility. The ideal candidate is a proactive fixer who excels at diagnosing mechanical failures before they cause downtime. You will be responsible for ensuring that all automated material handling equipment and facility infrastructure run at peak efficiency.
Job Responsibility:
Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical equipment including high-speed conveyors, automated sortation systems, gearboxes, and drive chains
Maintain and repair hydraulic dock levelers, pneumatic actuators, and air compressors
Perform onsite welding (MIG/TIG/Stick) and basic machining to repair or modify equipment components as needed
Conduct regular inspections, vibration analysis, and lubrication schedules to extend the life of critical machinery
Assist in the assembly, leveling, and alignment of new machinery and equipment upgrades
Work closely with the electrical team to solve complex multi-disciplinary equipment issues
Adhere to strict sanitation and Clean-In-Place protocols when working in temperature-controlled or food-grade storage areas
Requirements:
Valid Ontario Certificate of Qualification (C of Q) as an Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A)
3+ years of experience in an industrial or automated warehouse setting
Expertise in power transmission systems (bearings, shafts, belts, and pulleys)
Proficiency in reading mechanical blueprints and technical manuals
Strong knowledge of rigging, hoisting, and moving heavy machinery
Competency in various welding and metal fabrication techniques
Comfortable working in multi-temperature environments (Dry, Cooler, and Freezer) and working from heights/elevated platforms
Deep understanding of Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) and fall protection requirements
