Job Description:

Calling all millwright team leads with experience working in GMP/food manufacturing. Are you a a hands-on leader with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment? Our client, located in Milton ON is looking for their next maintenance team lead on their afternoon shift. This is an amazing opportunity to join and support a dynamic and tenured maintenance team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support and lead a team of 10 maintenance personnel by coaching, using continuous improvement models and being go-to contact person on the floor
  • Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery such as carton machines, flow wrappers, shrink wrappers, check weighers, metal detectors, ovens, and freezers
  • Installs and moving of machinery as needed
  • Duties as otherwise assigned.

Requirements:

  • 433A Millwright License
  • Experience in maintenance team lead/supervisor position- food environment preferred
  • Solid understanding of GMP and HACCP guidelines
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies (Certification is a strong asset)
  • Collaborative leadership approach, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
