Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) has an opportunity for a motivated, forward-thinking, and dedicated individual as a Mill Supervisor for our Milling division based in Saskatoon, SK. As Mill Supervisor, the successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Mill Manager and will be responsible for milling and packing related activities, ensuring that the tasks are properly executed as per company’s standards. This position will primarily oversee the milling process, will provide support and guidance to the production employees, including working scheduling.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supervise milling operations with Mill Manager, assisting with training, inspections and contributing to continuous improvement projects
  • Monitor, control and focus on improving efficiencies of the mill through communication, troubleshooting, and working with staff
  • Ensure all mills are running optimally and will assist hourly production employees in daily mill performance checks
  • Plan and prepare for sanitation work orders and mill maintenance during provided downtime, including verification of work performed
  • Help provide coverage for the Mill Manager
  • Organize and maintain milling equipment and consumables
  • Assist during downtime with troubleshooting, cleaning and equipment maintenance
  • Maintain a safe working environment and a high standard of housekeeping and sanitation in accordance with BRCGS and Food Safety procedures

Requirements:

  • Secondary School Diploma
  • Minimum of 4 years milling experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends
  • Competent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
