Job Responsibility

Be available as the on-site point of contact
Mechanical ability to instruct and assist with mill maintenance tasks
Set priority of workflow to ensure due dates are met
Recommend, specify and requisition appropriate tooling for each job
Ensure a safe work site and follow mill specific rules
Coordinate all items needed to complete each job to include equipment, materials, employees, etc.
Assist in quoting with regards to employees needed, time estimates, and materials and tools needed
Confirm PSI quality standards are met at all times
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues and/or equipment malfunctions
Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner

Requirements

College or University degree in engineering, business administration or a similar field
A minimum of three of industry experience in the food or beverage processing or manufacturing industry
A minimum of 5 years of related supervisory experience is required with preference given to prior experience as a Mill Manager, Mill Lead Hand or Mill Supervisor
Ability to communicate orally and in written and electronic form
Ability to use Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams

Job Responsibility

Manage the Mill and provide support to other departments by planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating overall milling operations
Daily, perform milling performance evaluations, inspection, and follow up on assigned duties through oversight of supervisors and by reviewing operational reports
Monitor, control and focus on improving efficiencies in the Mill through communication, troubleshooting, and working with staff
Liaise with production planning, transportation and maintenance on flour needs and downtime to ensure operational planning and production schedules are met
Oversee the development and implementation of standardized operating procedures (SOP)
Maintain documents and records in accordance with pertinent regulatory and company policies, procedures, and standards and ensure compliance across all production activities
Ensure Health and Safety programs, policies, and procedures are being implemented and enforced
Maintain a safe working environment and a high standard of housekeeping and sanitation in accordance with BRCGS (Brand Reputation Compliance Global Standards) and Food Safety procedures
Ensure the ongoing training of all personnel in accordance with company policies and standards
Implement and manage wheat grist changes as required
