The Senior Military Personnel Support Specialist (MILPERS) provides military personnel administration and executive support to U.S. Space Force and national security space organizations.
Job Responsibility
Provide senior-level military personnel support for officer and enlisted personnel actions
Process and track evaluations, awards, decorations, fitness reports, assignment actions, and personnel record updates
Support in-processing, out-processing, PCS coordination, readiness tracking, and duty status reporting
Maintain personnel trackers, suspense systems, and organizational manning reports
Coordinate scheduling, meetings, task tracking, and leadership reporting activities
Prepare executive correspondence, memoranda, reports, and briefing materials
Coordinate with military personnel centers, servicing organizations, and external mission partners
Maintain records management compliance for military personnel documentation
Ensure compliance with applicable DoD, Department of the Air Force, and U.S. Space Force guidance
Support process improvement initiatives focused on workflow efficiency and accountability
Handle sensitive personnel and operational information with discretion and professionalism
Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
Minimum 10 years of experience supporting military personnel administration or related DoD personnel operations
Experience supporting DoD, U.S. Space Force, U.S. Air Force, or joint military organizations
Familiarity with military personnel processes, evaluations, awards, readiness reporting, and administrative workflows
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Strong organizational, communication, and task management skills
Active DoD Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required
U.S. citizenship required
Nice to have
Experience supporting U.S. Space Force or national security space organizations
Experience supporting senior military leadership or headquarters staff environments
Familiarity with military personnel systems and records management processes
