Job Description:

MIFID Project Manager role at Citi's Regulatory Operations Change Team within SMBIC Data and Regulatory Operations. This team plays a critical role in executing regulatory change initiatives including implementing new and amended regulations, remediating regulatory and audit findings, and developing strategic control frameworks.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and deliver multiple MiFID Post-Trade Transparency projects
  • Ensure timely execution and adherence to regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations & Technology, Compliance, Legal, Risk, Internal Audit, and Business Units)
  • Champion change management principles
  • Develop comprehensive project documentation
  • Implement project management best practices
  • Represent Citi in industry forums
  • Contribute to NFRR (Non-Financial Regulatory Reporting) commitments

Requirements:

  • Project Management Expertise: Demonstrated success managing complex projects, encompassing planning, execution, risk management, stakeholder management, and communication
  • Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of MiFID II/MiFIR regulations including transaction reporting and transparency requirements
  • Experience with other relevant NFRR regulations (e.g., EMIR, SFTR)
  • Financial Services Experience: Background in financial services operations or technology with exposure to trade reporting systems and processes
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical abilities to assess complex information and develop effective solutions
  • Industry Engagement: Experience participating in industry forums and engaging with trade associations
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Understanding of compliance and risk management principles
  • Technology Proficiency: Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and project management software
  • Experience with trade reporting systems
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in relevant field (e.g., finance, business, economics, information technology)
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2)
