Job Responsibility:
Delivering high-quality, efficient, and family-centred care within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team
Evaluating maternity care in partnership with patients and the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes
Responding effectively to emergencies and changes in patient status
Contributing to quality healthcare through continuous professional development, research, clinical supervision, mentoring, and the creation of policy and clinical practice guidelines
Participating in relevant patient safety and quality education, ensuring services align with the National Patient Safety and Quality Standards
Completing accurate documentation of midwifery care using EMR, along with progress reports and referrals as required
Systematically assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating midwifery care based on patient records
Practicing within your scope of expertise while seeking guidance when necessary
Respecting and honoring the rights, beliefs, and cultural values of families
Requirements:
Midwifery qualifications
Ability to obtain registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Victorian Employee Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain
A demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality care and outcomes for consumers
Clinical knowledge and skills that reflect your experience
Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
Nice to have:
Evidence of ongoing education and professional development
Successful completion of Level 3 RANZCOG - Foetal Surveillance Education Program (FSEP)
