As a Teacher at MLC Marshmead, you will play a key role in delivering engaging, evidence-based learning experiences and supporting the wellbeing of students participating in the College’s Education Outdoors program. Working collaboratively within a dedicated team, you will contribute to a learning environment that fosters curiosity, independence, and environmental awareness. You will also actively participate in the daily life of the Marshmead community, including outdoor activities, communal events, and sustainability initiatives.
Job Responsibility:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with MLC’s curriculum and educational philosophy
Support the wellbeing and development of students through active pastoral care
Use data to assess progress and inform teaching strategies
Participate in the outdoor, physical, and community components of the Marshmead program
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through collaboration and professional learning
Ensure adherence to MLC’s Child Safe Standards and related policies
Requirements:
Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration
Relevant teaching qualifications and subject expertise
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong organisational and planning ability
A commitment to student wellbeing and safety
Ability to live and work harmoniously within a small residential community
A demonstrated commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable living
