Middle School Science Teacher

• Lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of Middle School Science
• Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons with effective differentiation
• Monitor student progress and implement interventions where required
• Oversee laboratory provision, including health & safety and the work of the lab technician
• Contribute to curriculum development, assessment and departmental improvement
• Use a range of effective teaching approaches, including online and face-to-face delivery
• Engage in ongoing professional learning and curriculum development
• Promote high standards of achievement, collaboration and communication
• Contribute to quality assurance and interdisciplinary learning
• Participate fully in the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular activities and trips
• Represent the department and school positively within the community
• Undertake other reasonable duties as directed by senior leadership

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Education (or PGCE / equivalent)
• Established teaching experience in a range of educational settings
• Genuine interest in developing a best in class science programme and the interpersonal and leadership skills to implement this
• High professional standards and a dedication to excellence across all aspects of school life
• Confident, articulate communication skills
