The Middle-Office OTC Derivatives Analyst is responsible for the end-to-end processing and analysis of alternative investment products, with a heavy focus on derivatives. This role sits at the intersection of operations and performance, ensuring that high-value portfolios are accounted for accurately while maintaining strict adherence to industry regulations. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and providing transparency into P&L and market exposures.
Job Responsibility:
Perform day-to-day processing and analysis of Alternative products, specifically various Derivatives instruments
Ensure the timely delivery of reporting and verify the accuracy of accounting for performance and exposure analysis
Manage general ledger updates, perform P&L analysis, and execute reconciliation break clearances
Calculate Mark-to-Market (MTM) for all open positions and post results to the respective reporting platforms
Monitor net cash flows across various products to ensure liquidity and settlement accuracy
Maintain strict adherence to Client Trust Agreements, disclosure documents, and industry regulations
Provide guidance and assistance to junior staff and assist management with ad hoc projects as required
Requirements:
Proven background in Fund Accounting, Derivatives Administration, Fund of Funds, Hedge Funds, Pension Reporting, or Equity Funds
Advanced proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel (VBA/Macros)
Experience with Derivatives systems and integration workflows
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Ability to meet scheduled shift work requirements
Nice to have:
Enrolment in or completion of CFA, CAIA, CGA, CMA, or a similar accredited program
Working knowledge of GAAP and general securities experience
Prior experience with W360 or Bloomberg Terminal
Demonstrated leadership skills or experience mentoring others
