The Middle Office Cash and Settlement Specialist plays a critical role in supporting institutional clients by acting as a central operational and regulatory interface between the Front Office, Back Offices, custodians, prime brokers, and other third‑party counterparties. The role is responsible for ensuring the accurate execution, reconciliation, and monitoring of transactions across multiple asset classes, with a strong focus on cash management, securities settlement, and custody operations. Strong expertise in financial instruments, market infrastructures, and regulatory frameworks is required to maintain high service standards, support operational excellence, and ensure compliance while meeting the expectations of internal stakeholders and clients.
Job Responsibility
Act as the primary operational link between Front Office, Back Offices, and external stakeholders (custodians, prime brokers, clearing brokers) ensuring timely resolution of escalated issues and responding to inquiries within the agreed service levels
Support Front Office in trade processing, lifecycle management, and issue resolution
Ensure accurate and timely processing of securities, cash, and FX transactions
Ensure correct booking of trades and positions in accordance with contractual and regulatory requirements
Perform daily margin monitoring and escalate discrepancies to relevant stakeholders
Identifies, analyzes, and resolves securities and cash breaks assigned to the team, Performs monthly controls and reconciliations of nostro accounts in exotic currencies, ensuring alignment between sub-custodian reports and internal system records, derivatives positions and custodial assets held with prime Broker
Actively participates in continuous process improvement by analyzing business objectives and defining both current (AS IS) and target (TO BE) workflows
Solid understanding of banking and financial operations, along with strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks applicable to Luxembourg and European financial institutions
Prepares quarterly reports for the depositary bank, providing an overview of the status and timeliness of settlements, support regulatory audits by providing accurate operational data and documentation, produce KPIs for management
Participate in projects related to regulatory implementation, new products, or onboarding of institutional clients
Requirements

Between 3 and 5 years experience in a similar role
