Equity Cash Trade Support sits within the EMEA Middle Office group. The team provides trade exception, risk management and control support to the business throughout the lifecycle of market executions. There is a heavy focus on ensuring that transaction issues are identified quickly and escalated appropriately so that firm risk can be minimised. The role involves significant interaction with both internal and external stakeholders for post-trade exception management and resolution of transaction issues relating to firm positions, P&L, FX and inter-system fails.
Job Responsibility:
Provide analytical and administrative support to Front Office Trading
Maintain position records in coordination with the traditional trading desk assistant and trade processing functions
Support trade capture management through front to back reconciliation, identifying operational risk, trade confirmation and settlement exception management
Directly impact the area with a shared responsibility for delivery of end results and formulation of procedures/process improvement
Contribute to the development of new techniques for the trade lifecycle, improve processes and workflows
Identify control deficiencies, resolve issues and escalate control gaps to senior management when appropriate
Contribute to bank change projects, offer advanced solutions and resolve complex trade flow problems
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations by adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and ensuring to manage, escalate and report control issues with transparency.
Requirements:
Excellent organisation skills with ability to prioritise a heavy workload and work to tight deadlines
Strong numeric and analytical skills
Extremely meticulous in root cause analysis, identifying and providing sustainable solutions
Ability to adapt quickly and adjust in a constantly changing environment
Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues across departments at all levels.
