We’re opening the position of a Middle Legal Counsel to provide the legal support towards the company’s strategic goals and needs by providing proactive and pragmatic advice to the business on all legal and regulatory matters.
Job Responsibility:
Work on drafting, reviewing, and approving agreements with Clients, partners, vendors, and other counterparties of the company (NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, DPAs, SAs, etc.)
Draft and approve internal documents, such as policies, procedures, and minutes of general meetings
Provide legal support for the company’s day-to-day operations in various jurisdictions (Ukraine, Poland, the USA, etc.)
Advise company’s departments on matters of contract law, labor law, intellectual property law, tax law, mobilization legislation, and personal data protection legislation
Work with the legal document flow, including organizing signing processes, record keeping, and document storage in the established format
Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure consistent and effective legal risk management and compliance
Monitor changes and updates to legislation and inform stakeholders of the relevant changes
Perform legal work related to the Diia City legal framework
Assist with other tasks and projects requiring legal support
Requirements:
3+ years of experience as an in-house lawyer or in a law firm
Strong knowledge of contract, commercial, intellectual property, civil, and labor law
Strong legal writing skills and knowledge of requirements and standards for document formatting and preparation
Analytical thinking skills, motivation to constantly develop your competence, attention to detail, result-orientation, teamwork mindset, integrity, and high level of responsibility
Completed higher legal education
Strong written and spoken communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal matters in plain language
English level – Upper-Intermediate or higher (both spoken and written)
Nice to have:
Relevant work experience in the IT industry
Work experience in international companies
Knowledge of the Diia City legal framework
Knowledge of GDPR
Completed courses in IT law
