Wetelo is a software development company building custom SaaS products since 2010. We partner with startups and growing businesses to design and develop scalable, business-driven products, taking full ownership from idea to long-term support. We are looking for a Middle Back-end Developer (Nest.js / Node.js) to join our team. This role is a great fit for a developer who has experience building projects from scratch and is confident in designing clean, maintainable, and scalable backend architecture.

Job Responsibility

  • Designing and developing REST APIs
  • Building admin panels and internal tools
  • Integrations with payment systems and third-party services
  • Integrations with AI tools and external APIs
  • Backend architecture setup from scratch
  • Database design and optimization

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of commercial back-end development experience
  • Strong experience with Node.js and TypeScript
  • Practical experience with Nest.js
  • Experience building projects from scratch (architecture design, structure setup, environment configuration)
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL and MongoDB
  • Experience designing REST APIs
  • Understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, role-based access)
  • Experience integrating payment systems or third-party services
  • Knowledge of database design and query optimization
  • Experience using AI tools in daily development workflow (e.g., Claude Code, Codex or similar)
  • Clean, maintainable, and scalable code practices
  • English level: B1 or higher

Nice to have

  • Understanding of caching strategies (Redis or similar)
  • Basic DevOps understanding (Docker, CI/CD)
