We’re opening the position of a Middle Automation QA Engineer to work on the project of our Client – a global leader in delivering advanced SaaS solutions for the Energy sector, serving thousands of clients worldwide. Its offerings combine proprietary data, analytics, and software to empower high‑impact business decisions where accuracy, reliability, and trust are paramount. Customers span the entire energy value chain and depend on these solutions to navigate complex markets, optimize operations, and make informed strategic choices. The product is a cloud-based analytics platform that delivers real-time insights into Energy market trends, asset performance, and competitive positioning. It combines proprietary datasets, public information, and advanced geospatial mapping to provide a comprehensive view of upstream, midstream, and downstream operations. Users can visualize production data, drilling activity, and infrastructure networks through customizable dashboards and interactive maps, enabling faster, data-driven decisions.

Job Responsibility

  • Define, implement, and automate tests to ensure solutions meet the Customer’s needs
  • Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality products
  • Validate user interfaces and APIs for software in the Energy industry
  • Identify, reproduce, and document software defects
  • Write clear, maintainable tests for front-end, back-end, and integrated systems
  • Develop and update test plans to support new and existing business initiatives
  • Share knowledge, mentor teammates, and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Take ownership of work and ensure attention to detail throughout the process
  • Partner with Software Engineers and product teams at all stages of the software development life cycle
  • Perform manual testing (functional, regression, exploratory) when automation is not applicable
  • Create, maintain, and execute test cases in a test management tool
  • Assist in performance testing and analysis when required

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in software quality assurance, including testing data, UI, and APIs
  • Experience with test automation, including writing, executing, and maintaining scripts
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, and SQL
  • Familiarity with automation tools such as Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, k6, and Postman
  • Experience with WebdriverIO for test automation
  • Experience in performing manual functional, regression, and exploratory testing
  • Ability to design and maintain test cases and test documentation
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build processes
  • Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Knowledge of defect tracking tools and test management systems
  • Basic understanding of performance testing concepts and tools
  • Ability to analyze requirements and identify testing needs
  • Ability to build relationships across organizations to ensure quality deliveries
  • A self-starter mindset and ability to work independently
  • Passion for software testing and improving processes, tools, and practices
  • Understanding of the Agile software development life cycle
  • Strong communication skills
  • English level – Upper-Intermediate or higher
