MGAC is a global boutique consultancy dedicated to managing and representing our clients’ best interests. This position requires local support, with approximately 4-5 days on-site support in Los Angeles, subject to client needs.
Job Responsibility:
Participate as an active member of a team of dynamic project managers in executing multi-phased projects, maintaining client expectations, and evolving project demands
Experience with construction oversite, design management, contract management and project communications
Responsible for monitoring progress in the field, schedule analysis, and quality control
Opportunity to build trust with and have direct interface with the construction team and client decision-makers
Participate in high level meetings, including strategic planning, budgeting, scheduling, initiation, procurement, execution, monitoring, and closeout phases of the project
Identify project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies
Oversee and prepare accurate project documentation for all phases of the project
Advocate on behalf of the client during disputes, disagreements, modifications or change orders
Participate in tracking and processing invoices, purchase orders, and other financial commitments, exposures and obligations
Maintain relationships with the wider construction industry, trade associates, vendors, and professional organizations
Requirements:
Bachelor's or associate degree in construction management, Business, Architecture, Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical) or related field is preferred
5+ years of experience in construction project management with a thorough understanding of the building design and construction process
Construction management experience related to base building, commercial, cultural, life sciences, corporate fit-out and/or developer work
Experience with site construction
Excellent analytical, organizational, problem solving, presentation, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Proficient in essential software applications, including MS Office, MS Project or Primavera P6, Adobe Acrobat or similar PDF tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Nitro), and project management platforms such as Procore or equivalent
