Job Description

Join the front-line of our design team and forge designs that will depict why LawAdvisor is the premier choice for the next generation of tech-enabled lawyers and law firms. Your knowledge of design principles, interaction design and product thinking are always on display as you conceptualise and create designs across our product suite. High-fidelity mockups, prototypes, wireframes, design-sprints are all part of your design arsenal. You’ll be excited to continue pushing the boundaries of the designs and effort of our team as you help us ideate, develop, and optimise our products and the features within them.

Job Responsibility

  • Tackle complex product challenges by applying a strong understanding of technical constraints, business objectives, and customer workflows—especially within the legal tech and legal operations domain
  • Operate with autonomy, owning projects end-to-end with minimal to no supervision while proactively identifying opportunities to improve user experience and product outcomes
  • Articulate informed design decisions clearly to cross-collaborators, grounding them in user insights, business goals, and system constraints
  • Communicate with clarity and purpose, regularly sharing work, facilitating discussions, and helping foster an open and collaborative design culture
  • Break down large and ambiguous problems into actionable, achievable steps
  • Create, maintain, and monitor accessibility standards, contributing to audits, reporting, and ensuring inclusive and compliant product experiences
  • Contribute to building and refining personas, user journeys, and behavioural insights, ensuring they stay aligned to real legal practitioner workflows
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align teams on product vision, ensuring design intent is carried through in implementation
  • Lead or co-lead strategic design initiatives, helping shape patterns, systems, and design direction across products
  • Demonstrate design impact, showcasing how your work influences outcomes, product strategy, and customer value

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a Product Designer or similar role
  • Experience creating designs for digital products from ideation to production
  • Strong examples of handling complex, multi-stakeholder problems
  • A portfolio showcasing product designs and strategic thinking
  • Strong proficiency in design tools such as Figma or Sketch
  • Deep understanding of interaction design and product thinking
  • Adept knowledge in the theory and elements of design (e.g. layout, balancing, contrast, typography, etc.)
  • Meticulous eye for all areas of design and an inclination to have aesthetically pleasing work
  • Ability to identify and link business strategy, design solutions, and user needs
  • Ability to wear multiple hats: strong time management, communication and a wide skill set
  • Ability to build domain and industry knowledge quickly

Nice to have

  • Front-end development experience
  • Previous experience in a startup environment
  • Experience working with a remote team
  • Experience working in the legal services industry

What we offer

  • A highly-skilled, driven and dedicated team
  • Competitive salary
  • Remote work opportunities
  • Continuous learning and development
  • Company retreats
  • A direct line with our key users, and influential high-level stakeholders
