Job Responsibility:
Hunting: Research, prospect, and chase down leads. Cold calls, LinkedIn, email, networking — if it moves the needle, you’ll try it
Connecting: Understand what challenges mid-market businesses face and show them how island.io makes those problems disappear
Closing: You know how to pitch, negotiate, and seal the deal. No fluff — just real conversations that lead to contracts signed
Building Relationships: Once you’ve got their attention, keep it by being a trusted advisor, not just a salesperson
Teaming Up: Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success so the handoff is smooth and clients feel taken care of from start to finish
Reporting: Keep the sales pipeline fresh and accurate, and share what’s happening with your team so everyone stays in the loop
Requirements:
At least 1-2 years experience in software sales, preferably with some exposure to cybersecurity
A proven closer with a track record of consistently surpassing revenue targets while driving new business growth
You’re a hunter and you love the chase, the strategy, and the satisfaction of winning new business
A quick learner who is a resourceful self-starter
You’re comfortable with outreach tools and Salesforce
Communication is your strong suit — you’re confident presenting and negotiating
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience — but show us your hustle
