Job Description:

Centennial Technologies is seeking a Mid-level Server Engineer to join our team to support a major federal agency in Cincinnati. Looking for candidates with strong attention to detail and a firm grasp of network infrastructure.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide Windows administration support, including managing files/folders permissions, inheritance, patches, firewall, printer management, and vulnerabilities
  • Support Active Directory, including managing objects/groups, service accounts, and password changes, include Azure NetApps
  • Support VMware instances, including creating servers, adding volumes, managing snapshots, and providing performance tuning support
  • Configure and install software for upgrading and maintaining servers, network and limited telecommunication systems
  • Update and resolve work tickets promptly

Requirements:

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree
  • Must have 2-4 years of experience supporting the Windows platform
  • Must have at least 2 years’ experience supporting Active Directory structure
  • Must have at least 2 years’ experience supporting VMware instances
  • Should be able to lift up-to 50 lbs and climb a ladder of at least 6 feet
  • NIST 800-53r5 requirements and how they are applied within a Windows and VMWare environment
  • DoD Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) tool and how it can be used to address Windows, MS Edge, IIS, SQL and other products
  • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must have a good attitude, commitment, and dedication to learning from the senior staff
  • Must be willing to travel to local or remote sites as needed
  • Must be U.S. Citizen
  • Must be able to work onsite 5 days a week

Nice to have:

  • Any familiarity with Splunk is a big plus
  • Any familiarity with VEEAM is a plus
  • Any familiarity with Cisco switches is nice to have
