Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Quality Engineer to join our team located in Berkeley, MO!

Job Responsibility:

  • Supports development activities and leads integration of contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements
  • Provides interpretation of complex requirements and assists design engineers with technical reviews
  • Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for large programs
  • Conducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection
  • Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances
  • Leads and participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs
  • Develops and selects methods for analysis, testing and audit
  • Initiate and implements corrective actions based on nonconformance trend analysis
  • Performs benchmarking and other forms of advanced analysis
  • Works under minimal direction

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study
  • 3+ years of experience working in Quality, Supplier Quality or Supplier Management
  • 3+ years of experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA)
  • 3+ years of experience working with and supporting Quality Management System (QMS)
  • 3+ years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship

Nice to have:

  • 5+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Current American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certifications (CQA, CQE, CQT)
  • Experience in an avionics, electrical, and/or systems engineering role
