Job Description:

Mid-level Product Designer role focused on mobile web and native app platforms at KAYAK, part of Booking Holdings. The designer will concept, design and ship applications that millions of people use to find and book travel, working with Product Managers, Engineers and Designers to build, deliver, and test digital travel products.

Job Responsibility:

Understand customer needs in markets around the world and shape experiences to meet those needs
Craft high-quality, user-centered app designs considering existing insights, technical constraints, platform guidelines, and business needs
Take full ownership of work and responsibility for every last detail
Rapidly produce multiple concepts and prototypes for A/B experiments
Apply systems thinking to approach scalable design

Requirements:

Deep knowledge of Android design patterns, guidelines, and interaction models
Proven experience designing at consumer-focused product companies delivering outstanding user experiences
The ability to drive and ship features inside an ever-growing and experimenting company
Excellent communication skills with analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
Appreciation of the entire product development process from problem solving through to detailed interaction and visual design
User-focused design mentality with experience acquiring user feedback
Experienced working in a dynamic design process guided by quantitative and qualitative customer data
Strong time management skills and ability to be self-directed and prioritize
Positive demeanor with curiosity to learn and willingness to adapt
Strong understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices for mobile platforms
