We’re currently seeking a Mid Level Cleanup Animator to help our team on their next adventure. The ideal candidate enjoys putting their skills and knowledge to use in a variety of styles. Your broader experience in cinematics, gaming and video production pipeline will help you work collaboratively with designers, concept artists, technical artists, and animators to create an immersive and epic experience.
Job Responsibility:
Work closely with the Lead Animator and internal team to clean-up motion capture data to a high standard
Clean-up and improve rough animation into final, production-ready, while preserving and accenting the actor’s intent, timing, and performance
Ensure shots meet studio quality standards and production deadlines
Closely follow established pipelines, naming conventions, and file-management practices
Maintain continuity of animation quality throughout the tasks and project
Coordinate with producers and supervisors to achieve project goals
Requirements:
3+ years of experience as an animator in a studio production pipeline
Strong understanding of animation principles
Experience in animating humanoid characters, creatures, props and weapons
Experience with cleaning motion capture data
Creative problem solving for animation related tasks
Strong communication skills, a team player, and a positive attitude
Responsiveness to objective feedback and being able to take direction from leads and supervisors
Excellent English skills are a must – Spoken and written
Proficiency in industry standard software – Maya, Motion Builder
Nice to have:
Experience working on a AAA game title or high end film production
Previous experience on large-scale productions or long-form projects
Familiarity of various animation scripts, rigging, motion capture systems
Familiarity with communication tools such as Slack, JIRA, and Confluence
