Job Description

We are hiring a Backend Developer experienced in Python for a Portuguese Human Resources Management company with operations both nationally and internationally, specializing in Recruitment & Selection and Outsourcing in the Health and Information Technology sectors.

Job Responsibility

  • Design, develop, and deploy robust Python applications using the Django framework
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to collect and translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications
  • Contribute proactively to the entire software development lifecycle, from initial concept through delivery and ongoing maintenance
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Python code, ensuring thorough documentation
  • Develop, manage, and consume RESTful APIs to effectively integrate multiple systems and services
  • Optimize database performance through efficient query design and management utilizing MariaDB/PostgreSQL
  • Maintain and implement version control procedures using Git
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues promptly and efficiently
  • Remain current with industry trends and best practices in Python development, with particular attention to healthcare technology innovations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related discipline
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Python backend development
  • Proven expertise in Django framework
  • Extensive hands-on experience with relational databases, specifically MariaDB/PostgreSQL, including database query optimization
  • Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Effective communicator, capable of working collaboratively within diverse teams
