Job Responsibility

  • Design, Engineer & Test service solutions for MW IP Backhaul & Access considering network evolution and future‑proofness across the European Region including preparing LLD and laboratory testing
  • Introduce service performance dimensioning and KPI guidelines for access and backhauling and track service performance KPIs
  • Define QoS objectives and parameterization in MW IP Access and Backhaul as part of a harmonized end‑to‑end QoS concept
  • Optimize service performance through E2E alignment of Transmission and Transport design and best practices
  • Assess security compliance of MW IP Access & Backhaul networks across the European Region and recommend improvement plans
  • Drive the introduction of SDN/Automation in relevant network segments
  • Alignment with network technology strategy and architecture, adapting efficiently to local market needs
  • Liaison with vendors and Vodafone functions to test and drive service evolution and design
  • Definition of QoS objectives and parameterization in Transmission (Microwave) and Transport
  • Service optimization through E2E alignment of Transmission (Microwave) and Transport design and best practices
  • Definition and tracking of performance KPIs for Access and Backhaul network segments
  • Assessment of network compliance with security guidelines

Requirements

  • University degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
  • MSc in Telecommunications preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the telecom industry
  • Professional certifications (e.g. CCNP, CCIE) are an advantage
  • Deep knowledge of MW IP Access and Backhaul technologies and architectures (routers, microwave)
  • Knowledge of methods and technologies to secure services and infrastructure
  • Experience in deploying and optimizing SDN solutions
  • Ability to challenge existing solutions and identify innovation opportunities
  • Ability to operate across both business and technical domains
