The Microsoft Teams Engineer will be responsible for managing and optimizing Microsoft Teams environments, ensuring secure and efficient communication across the organization.
Job Responsibility:
Administer and manage Microsoft Teams environments, ensuring reliable and secure communication and collaboration services across the organization
Configure and maintain Teams policies, user settings, and governance controls in alignment with enterprise standards
Troubleshoot and resolve Microsoft Teams incidents and service requests, including issues related to messaging, meetings, collaboration, and integrations
Support and maintain Teams voice and video conferencing services, including Teams telephony and SBC (Session Border Controller) integrations
Configure and support integrations with Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint, OneDrive, and other collaboration tools
Automate administrative and operational tasks using PowerShell scripting for Teams management and automation
Monitor system health, service performance, and usage to ensure optimal user experience and service reliability
Optimize Teams performance for virtual and remote working environments, including VDI or virtual desktop infrastructures where applicable
Provide user training, guidance, and best practices to support effective adoption of Microsoft Teams capabilities
Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and user guides
Collaborate with Microsoft 365, networking, security, and infrastructure teams to support integrated collaboration services and resolve complex issues
Participate in on-call rotations and out-of-hours support for live streaming events and critical service incidents
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
Minimum 3-5 years of experience supporting Microsoft Teams environments in enterprise settings
Strong expertise in Microsoft Teams administration, including policies, governance, and user management
Hands-on experience supporting Teams telephony, voice services, and SBC integrations
Solid understanding of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including integration with SharePoint and OneDrive
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for Teams administration and automation
Experience optimizing Teams for virtual desktop or remote working environments
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills related to collaboration and communication platforms
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users
Excellent command of both spoken and written English and German
Nice to have:
Microsoft Certified: Teams Administrator Associate or similar certification is preferred
