A leading cybersecurity consulting and managed services organisation is looking for an experienced Microsoft Security Architect to join its Cyber Technology Team. This is a senior, customer-facing architecture role focused on designing and leading enterprise Microsoft security implementations across Microsoft 365 and Azure security ecosystems. The successful candidate will act as the design authority across strategic Microsoft security engagements, partnering closely with presales, delivery, and customer stakeholders to deliver secure-by-design solutions across hybrid and cloud environments.
Job Responsibility:
Design end-to-end Microsoft security architectures across: Microsoft 365 E5 Security, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Defender for Cloud
Produce architecture artefacts including HLDs, LLDs, and security design documentation
Define integration patterns, hardening standards, and deployment frameworks
Provide architectural governance and sign-off for implementation activities
Lead customer workshops and technical discovery sessions
Support presales and bid activities including: Technical proposals, RFP/RFI responses, Scope of Work (SOW) creation, Solution sizing and estimation
Translate customer security and compliance requirements into scalable Microsoft-aligned solutions
Participate in customer presentations, technical demonstrations, and proof-of-value engagements
Provide oversight across enterprise Microsoft security deployments
Support UAT governance, deployment validation, and operational handovers
Mentor engineers and conduct technical peer reviews
Drive continuous improvement across delivery methodologies and reusable design assets
Advise enterprise customers on Microsoft security strategy, governance, and roadmap planning
Engage directly with CISOs, security leaders, and enterprise architects
Translate audit, risk, and regulatory requirements into actionable security designs
Requirements:
10+ years of IT or cybersecurity experience
Strong hands-on experience across Microsoft security technologies including: Microsoft Defender XDR
Microsoft Sentinel
Microsoft Purview
Microsoft Defender for Cloud
Entra ID / Identity Security
Proven experience in a Security Architect, Lead Engineer, or Design Authority role
Experience delivering enterprise-scale security projects in regulated environments is highly advantageous
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
