Job Description

We are currently seeking a Microsoft Purview Administrator to join our team in Richmond, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US). This is a remote position; Candidates in or aligned with the EST time zone are preferred. Description - Flexible working in shifts supporting 24X7 steady state operations. Covering Business Hours of 8am-5pm EST, with off-hours and weekend on-call support.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide day-to-day administration and support of Microsoft Purview and Microsoft 365 compliance services (DLP, eDiscovery, retention, information protection)
  • Monitor system performance and ensure availability of compliance applications and services
  • Troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex incidents related to compliance tools and configurations
  • Execute configuration updates, system maintenance, and policy changes following established procedures
  • Support implementation and maintenance of DLP, retention, and sensitivity label policies based on defined requirements
  • Manage service requests, incidents, and user issues within established SLAs and operational processes
  • Perform root cause analysis and document incidents, resolutions, and corrective actions
  • Provide user support and guidance on system functionality, including eDiscovery and compliance tools
  • Generate and maintain operational and compliance reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate with Microsoft support and client stakeholders to resolve system issues
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to operational efficiency initiatives
  • Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, procedures, and support activities
  • Assist with testing and validation of system updates and compliance-related changes
  • Ensure adherence to organizational policies, security standards, and compliance requirements
  • Provide knowledge sharing and informal guidance to less experienced team members and customer's Purview Admins

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience administering Microsoft 365 environments, with at least 3+ years of experience in Microsoft Purview (Compliance / Data Governance / Information Protection)
  • Experience implementing and managing data protection and compliance solutions, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP), retention policies, sensitivity labels, and eDiscovery within Microsoft Purview
  • Experience with identity and access management integrations, including Azure AD / Entra ID, SSO/SAML, and understanding of compliance and security frameworks in enterprise environments.
