As a D365 F&O Lead Finance Consultant you can expect to provide ongoing application support within a managed services delivery model, analyze business processes, recommend improvements, develop functional specifications, troubleshoot system issues, and partner with technical teams on customizations and integrations. The role involves multiple end-to-end Dynamics 365 Finance implementations and requires deep knowledge of finance modules.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide ongoing application support within a managed services delivery model, including issue triage, root cause analysis, and minor system enhancements
  • Analyze existing business processes and recommend improvements using Dynamics 365 Finance capabilities, identifying opportunities for automation, streamlining workflows, and optimizing system usage
  • Develop clear and comprehensive functional specifications, gap analyses, and training documentation
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and document system issues accurately and efficiently
  • Partner with technical teams to design and implement customizations and integrations aligned with business requirements
  • Participate in multiple end-to-end Dynamics 365 Finance implementations, including design, testing, and go-live support
  • Take ownership of production environments and guide issues to resolution across functional and technical teams

Requirements:

  • Deep, hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
  • A strong ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships while providing high-quality ongoing support
  • Experience implementing and supporting key Finance modules including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Bank and Cash Management, Management Reporter, and Project Accounting
  • The ability to analyze existing business processes and recommend improvements using Dynamics 365 Finance capabilities, identifying opportunities for automation, streamlining workflows, and optimizing system usage
  • Expertise developing clear and comprehensive functional specifications, gap analyses, and training documentation
  • Proven experience troubleshooting, resolving, and documenting system issues accurately and efficiently
  • A strong understanding of system integrations and coordinating batch job schedules
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
  • Professional communication skills that enable you to influence, problem-solve, and collaborate with stakeholders
  • The ability to build productive, collaborative relationships with individuals and teams across all organizational levels
  • Experience implementing and supporting Treasury Automation Suite solutions (e.g., SKG) (preferred)

  • At least 7-10 years of experience working with D365 for Finance and Operations/Dynamics AX solutions
  • A desire to take on the challenges of D365 consulting without the travel requirements (this role is fully remote)
  • Experience taking ownership of production environments and guiding issues to resolution across functional and technical teams
  • Exposure to advanced financial configurations such as fund accounting, encumbrance accounting, budget planning, and public sector finance processes is a plus
  • Familiarity with data management tools and processes in Dynamics 365 Finance environments is a plus
