As a D365 Functional Solution Architect you will act as Functional Solution Architect on small projects that arise through the natural course of Managed Services activities, which may include performing the Solution Advisory/Solution Architect role in the analysis phase of a D365 Projects, conducting Business Process Analysis (BPA) workshops and perform Fit/Gap analysis, accurately estimating project initiatives along with appropriate resources and skillsets required, acting as solution advisor to the project during design/development, testing and deployment phases, ensuring processes are in place for testing and issues resolution, specifically around the functional architecture and integration points of the implementation, finalizing and sign-off on functional specifications, unit and system test scripts, and deployment plans, ensuring training will cover all relevant topics allowing client successful use and maintenance of the application, acting as escalation point for all support issues during and after a project, acting as Functional Solution Architect across Finance, Project Management & Accounting (PMA), and Project Operations scenarios within Managed Services and small enhancement projects, acting as a senior resource/advisor to other Managed Services Leads and Consultants, supporting project‑centric clients with operational, financial, and delivery‑focused workflows enabled through D365 PMA and Project Operations modules, adhering to and improve Managed Services methodology as the business paradigm changes; Share best practices with team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Act as Functional Solution Architect (FSA) on small projects that arise through the natural course of Managed Services activities
  • Perform the Solution Advisory/Solution Architect role in the analysis phase of a D365 Projects
  • Conduct Business Process Analysis (BPA) workshops and perform Fit/Gap analysis
  • Accurately estimate project initiatives along with appropriate resources and skillsets required
  • Act as solution advisor to the project during design/development, testing and deployment phases

Requirements:

  • 5+ years hands-on experience with D365 PMA and/or Project Operations deployments
  • Project experience includes assessment and analysis, designing business case development, envisioning, planning, deployment, benefits analysis, etc.
  • Strong understanding of Project Operations concepts: project stages, WBS, estimates, resource assignments, expense integrations, proforma invoicing, and revenue recognition models
  • Experience architecting workflows involving project budgeting, cost controls, utilization planning, and operational reporting
  • Ability to advise clients on best practices for project governance, operational readiness, and financial alignment within D365
  • Proven record of delivering information-systems-business value to clients
  • Ability to be the trusted voice at the decision-making table
  • Deep working knowledge of ISV solutions
  • Ability to move between high-level architectural review/design and the "roll up the sleeves" level of performing all phases of an application delivery project
  • Flexibility to travel as the needs of clients and our business dictate
