Job Description:

Airswift is seeking a Microbiology Lab Tech to work for one of our chemical clients on an initial 6-month contract, with potential to extend!

Job Responsibility:

  • Environmental Monitoring - Monitoring of Classified Areas using active/passive air sampling methods and RODAC/swab surface sampling methods for the detection of bacteria and fungi
  • CliMet air sampling methods for the detection of Total Particulates
  • trending of data to detect anomalies and characterize microflora
  • Utilities –Testing of city water, pre-treat water, clean steam, Water for Injection, nitrogen and process air
  • Utilizes classical microbiological methods for identification of microorganisms
  • Perform validation activities such as biological indictor recovery, bioburden rinse/swab, endotoxin rinse and endotoxin challenge vial testing
  • Data analysis and entry into software systems such as Microbiology Information Management Systems (MIMS)
  • GMP Documentation – Document test results and conclusions in a GMP manner
  • Ensure test forms are complete before submission for approval
  • Performs responsibilities in compliance with quality systems
  • Adheres to all company safety, health and environmental policies
  • Conducts all laboratory activities in a safe manner by use of MSDS to establish chemical hazards

Requirements:

  • 1+ year of related experience in the industry
  • Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of microbiological techniques, aseptic practices, and environmental monitoring concepts
  • GMP & Documentation: Familiarity with GMP principles and accurate data recording in laboratory systems
  • Safety & Compliance: Knowledge of laboratory safety practices and willingness to follow quality and EHS procedures.
