We are seeking an experienced Financial Reporting professional to join our Peabody Brisbane Office. The Manager Financial Reporting is accountable for the timely delivery and management of the IFRS statutory financial reporting process. This is a high-profile, standalone role within a large organisation, providing exposure to senior leadership, external auditors, and complex group structures, while also supporting the business on governance and compliance matters.

Job Responsibility:

  • Own the end-to-end IFRS statutory financial reporting process for the Australian business
  • Project manage the 30 June half-year and 31 December annual IFRS reporting cycles
  • Prepare accurate and timely general purpose financial statements, management reports, and annual solvency statements
  • Manage group consolidations, including purchase price accounting and complex entity structures
  • Ensure compliance with Australian statutory reporting, external stakeholder requirements and Deed of Cross Guarantee
  • Coordinate with internal, external and senior stakeholders to deliver compliant outcomes
  • Manage IFRS to US GAAP differences and related reconciliations
  • Support internal audit, corporate governance activities, and broader finance initiatives
  • Present financial results to Company Directors
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting processes, controls, and efficiency

Requirements:

  • CA or CPA qualified and/or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Commerce
  • 10-12 years' post-graduate experience in large accounting firms or commercial environments
  • Strong financial reporting background
  • IFRS and US GAAP
  • Key differences between IFRS and US GAAP
  • SAP
  • Advanced Excel
  • Understanding of internal controls and SOX requirements
