We are seeking a dedicated Qualified MFL Teacher (QTS) to join our partner Secondary School in Purfleet-on-Thames. In an increasingly interconnected world, the ability to communicate in a second language is more valuable than ever. We are looking for an educator who can deliver high-energy Spanish and/or French lessons, inspiring students at KS3 and KS4 to see beyond their own horizons and develop a lifelong love for languages.
Job Responsibility:
Plan and deliver engaging MFL lessons (primarily Spanish and French) across KS3 and KS4, focusing on the four key skills: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing
Bring languages to life by integrating cultural awareness into the curriculum
Prepare Year 11 cohorts for their GCSE assessments, utilising targeted interventions and oral practice
Differentiate language tasks for a wide range of abilities
Utilize digital tools, games, and authentic materials to create a vibrant, low-stakes, high-reward environment for language acquisition
Work with the MFL department to share innovative resources and contribute to extracurricular activities
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) / QTLS
A degree in Spanish, French, or a related Modern Foreign Languages discipline
Ability to teach Spanish to KS4 and French to at least KS3
Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to process a new one via Randstad)
