Job Description:

justteachers is seeking a committed and passionate MFL Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in the Harrogate area. This short‑term, full time role is to cover staff absence immediately after the Easter break, with the potential for extension depending on school needs. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality French and Spanish teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The school offers a supportive environment with well‑resourced language facilities, making it an excellent opportunity for an adaptable and engaging MFL specialist.

Job Responsibility:

Teaching French and/or Spanish across KS3–KS4 (depending on specialism)
Delivering well‑structured, engaging lessons that support pupil progress
Assessing and monitoring student achievement
Maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom environment
Working collaboratively with the school’s languages department

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching MFL at secondary level
Strong subject knowledge in French and/or Spanish
A flexible, positive approach suited to short‑term cover
Ability to build rapport quickly with pupils and staff
