Job Description:

Part-Time Teacher of French and Spanish, to be in post ready for the start of the next academic year in September 2026. Role to help establish world-class Modern Languages provision at Wetherby Pembridge. Working closely with the Founding Head of Modern Languages to embed and further develop an innovative, ambitious and comprehensive Modern Languages programme.

Job Responsibility:

  • Teaching approximately a 50% timetable allocation, split between French and Spanish
  • Planning, preparing and delivering excellent lessons
  • Working with the Head of Modern Languages and the SENDCo to ensure Modern Languages teaching makes appropriate provision for candidates with additional needs
  • Contributing to super-curricular provision within Modern Languages
  • Helping to foster a culture of broad and regular super-curricular engagement
  • Assisting with the development and marking of assessment papers for candidates for entry to the school

Requirements:

  • PGCE, QTS or equivalent with strong academic credentials
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Significant experience of delivering outstanding French and Spanish provision in a high-performing school environment
  • Ability to teach at least one of French and Spanish to A Level
  • Resilience, drive, strength of character and sense of both humour and perspective to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding and ambitious environment
