Job Responsibility:
Plan and deliver engaging, immersive lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to lead A-Level French cohorts.
Cultivate a classroom environment where the target language is used authentically, building student confidence in listening and speaking.
Lead students through exam specifications (AQA/Edexcel), focusing on high-level translation, literary analysis, and spontaneous oral performance.
Integrate Francophone literature, cinema, and current affairs into the curriculum to provide real-world context and depth.
Contribute to the evolution of the MFL schemes of work, ensuring they remain diverse, challenging, and inclusive.
Take on a form tutor role, providing holistic support and academic mentoring to a dedicated group of students.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory. A degree in French or a related linguistic discipline.
Near-Native Fluency: Exceptional command of the French language and a deep-seated passion for Francophone cultures.
Classroom Management: The ability to foster a "fail-safe" environment where students feel empowered to take risks with their speech.
