The Intermodal Coordinator Mexico (ICM) is responsible for coordinating shipments, both northbound from Mexico and southbound to Mexico. The ICM will plan for asset availability throughout the Mexico IM network and book freight in accordance to network needs. The ICM will work directly with the customer to provide a high LOS. The ICM will plan drayage assets out of Mexico, and work with US Dispatch to ensure service expectations are met.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate shipments, both northbound from Mexico and southbound to Mexico

Provide direct customer service
Book new loads out of EDI, or by email tender
Provide service updates to the customer
Relay drayage/rail information to appropriate customer service rep
Assist customers through phone/email
Provide service updates, reason codes, and scorecard data
Submit cost recovery for accessorials
Assign and dispatch 3rd party dray coverage in Mexico
Assign/bill rail providers
Track and trace each container daily
Communicate any rail delays
Assign and tender loads to drayage partners
Source additional drayage partners and negotiate rates
Submit waybills via rail portal
Monitor equipment pools
Assign correct equipment type to each load
Report damage to containers to manager
Support Bison operations to achieve departmental objectives
Be aware of issues beyond their region
Engage in other projects as assigned
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations
Experience in intermodal transportation is considered a strong asset
Proven ability to adapt to changing situations and thrive in a dynamic environment
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication abilities
Bilingual in Spanish and English
Demonstrated initiative and a proactive, analytical mindset
A commitment to exceptional customer service
Excellent decision-making and organizational skills
Solid understanding of trucking regulations, industry trends, freight lanes and rates, and North American geography
