As the Mexico Business Development Manager, Intermodal, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding Bison’s intermodal business in the Monterrey market. This role focuses on identifying, developing, and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, rail partners, and carriers while promoting our intermodal solutions across Mexico, the U.S., and Canada. You will act as an intermodal specialist, leveraging your expertise in rail and door-to-door logistics to develop new opportunities, enhance network efficiency, and position Bison as a leading provider of integrated intermodal services in North America.
Job Responsibility:
Identify and target new business opportunities within the intermodal transportation market in Northern Mexico, focusing on Monterrey and surrounding industrial corridors
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand intermodal market share and customer base
Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to promote Bison’s door-to-door intermodal solutions
Build and maintain strong relationships with CPKC, Ferromex, and other rail partners, as well as customers and logistics providers
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service and solution delivery
Negotiate and close contracts, focusing on long-term partnerships and volume commitments
Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Pricing, Customer Service, and Planning) to design and deliver customized intermodal logistics solutions
Contribute to pricing, market entry, and network optimization strategies for cross-border intermodal growth
Provide regular feedback on market dynamics and customer requirements to refine Bison’s service offerings
Achieve or exceed revenue targets specific to intermodal accounts in Mexico
Prepare and deliver high-impact presentations, proposals, and business cases to prospective clients
Track and analyze sales performance metrics and pipeline activity using CRM tools
Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with accounts, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives
Work closely with legal and finance teams to finalize agreements and ensure compliance
Ensure all activities comply with local regulations, company policies, and ethical standards
Maintain accurate CRM records of leads, opportunities, and customer interactions
Stay informed about rail capacity, container availability, and corridor developments impacting Mexico-U.S.-Canada trade
Analyze intermodal freight trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to inform strategic decisions
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain
at least 2 years focused on intermodal or rail operations/sales
Proven record of developing new business and achieving sales targets
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Customer-centric mindset with experience managing key accounts
