Job Responsibility:

  • Utilize laser tracker to align components to machine coordinates and tolerances as well as for reverse engineering
  • Read and interpret client drawings to identify appropriate inspection methods and geometric dimensioning/specifications
  • Perform inspection checks at various stages
  • Provide support to Metrology and Industrial Engineering
  • Must be able to provide hands on support and guidance to all field operations as needed to complete job or task
  • Provide technical and non-technical guidance to team members to foster career and personal development.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Laster Tracker, preferably with Faro Cam2 software, but no required
  • Must be familiar with blueprint readings, industrial alignment, optical surveying and AutoCAD
  • Must have ability to lift over 50 pounds occasionally
  • Must be able to climb to heights up to 300 feet
  • Must be able to work in extreme environments and be able to adapt to different situations as required
  • Excellent vision or corrective vision
  • Requires a large amount of walking on the job site when in the field
  • Requires a considerable amount of overtime/weekend work
  • The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required
  • Candidates must show the capacity to proactively initiate, effectively lead, and consistently uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
