Job Description:

Veolia is actively seeking an energetic and self-motivated professional to join our mission critical team as a metering Field Technician. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, fast paced environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Commissioning of electrical and mechanical metering equipment in a variety of environments
  • Identify, understand and assemble required documentation, drawings, and data from clients, vendors, and contractors
  • Complete building-specific commissioning reports
  • Submit progress reports and commissioning meeting notes to the project engineer facility manager
  • Perform physical testing of electrical/mechanical equipment
  • Perform basic network programming & troubleshooting
  • Take in field measurement with the use of multi-meter test instrumentation
  • Respond to customer inquiries in a manner that exceeds the customer’s expectations

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in engineering / technology with 1-3 years of experience in preferably electrical/mechanical/controls engineering, energy services, plant operations, or related field
  • OR Minimum of 1-5 years of experience as service technician, controls installer, commissioning agent with experience in building controls, test and balance, design, construction and/or maintenance of building systems
  • Building management and distributed control system experience a plus
  • Metering experience a plus
  • Knowledgeable with common electrical, mechanical, and controls-related building equipment
  • Organized, detail-oriented, analytical, proactive, energetic, problem solver
  • Excellent communication and relationship skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
