Job Description

Looking for an electrician role focused on electrical metering and supporting software? This position offers the core work of a commercial electrician-without heavy conduit installs or oversized equipment. Enjoy a mix of remote work and on-site support, using your electrical expertise to support service contracts for Power Monitoring Expert (PME) software, application support, and customer service.

Job Responsibility

  • Use electrical test equipment to verify voltage, continuity, and power quality
  • Troubleshoot electrical power systems and device communications (Ethernet, RS‑485, Serial)
  • Support customer service contracts for Power Monitoring Expert (PME) systems
  • Perform on-site service visits, system checks, and customer support
  • Generate electrical power monitoring and power quality reports
  • Install, configure, and maintain power monitoring hardware and software (Level III & Senior)
  • Configure and manage EPMS diagrams, screens, and system layouts
  • Install and replace electrical meters, CTs, PTs, fuses, gateways, wiring, and conduit
  • Configure meters and gateways, including communication and device settings
  • Troubleshoot Modbus TCP, serial gateways, and device communications using Modscan
  • Perform site and equipment reviews to support new or upgraded metering installations, including drawings and MOPs (Level II-Senior)
  • Conduct NFPA 70E equipment reviews and gather data for coordination studies and one-line diagrams
  • Create equipment lists and one-line diagrams for coordination studies (Level III & Senior)
  • Administer employee safety training via ClickSafety (Level III & Senior).

Requirements

  • 4+ years of journeyman-level commercial or industrial electrical experience
  • Licensed or certified electrician (required)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Visio)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to work independently
  • Physically able to work in electrical rooms and lift light equipment
  • Willing to work occasional off-hours and travel (25-50%)
  • Demonstrates professionalism and strong ethical standards.
