Job Description:

Full-time Metal Fabricator position available with competitive salary. Work in a dynamic team in Prospect, NSW, 2148. DM Custom Fabrication is a locally owned and operated steel fabrication company. We are experts in creating custom metal fabrications that are functional, durable, and visually pleasing. We work on projects of all sizes across the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. Our passionate and experienced team consistently delivers exceptional results, with a strong focus on high-quality workmanship, precision, and attention to detail. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Metal Fabricator to join our growing team.

Job Responsibility:

Fabricate and install structural steel on both residential and commercial sites
Prepare and position steel beams and structural components, ensuring correct alignment and level
Operate fabrication and installation tools, including welders, angle grinders, and drills
Cut, smooth, and prepare materials to precise project specifications before installation
Drill holes using a range of drills and ensure accuracy to plan specifications
Support the alignment and levelling of steel beams and columns, securing components with bolts and fittings
Undertake workshop fabrication, pre-assembly, and preparation of steel structures for on-site installation
Read and interpret technical drawings and plans to ensure fabrication accuracy
Maintain a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and teamwork across all phases of work
Follow all OH&S procedures and company policies during fabrication and site activities

Requirements:

Relevant qualification and/or equivalent work experience
Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role
Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship
Understanding of safety standards and practices
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
